Andy's brother Mick sponsored the JR Gilks Pairs Trophy. He left at the same time as Ron... preferring to watch Pompey rather than slogging around the Chichester Tower/Cathedral course.

A sponsor of one of our trophies Paul Cole eventually decided he preferred motor bikes to golf.

Probably the best player who ever played in the society. We had to alter the birdie competition whenever Nathan was playing. 

Mike was invited by Suren Johanssen, since he was Suren's boss at IBM.

James worked for McLaren living the high life of Formula One.

Most remembered for winning ALL the birdie money at Wensum Valley and having to use it to pair for the repairs to his room door. 

Neil worked with Richie. He left to spend more time footballing.

The original handicap secretary. He knew how to slash handicaps. His intention being to ensure that just about everyone won a trophy. He was responsible for getting all the sponsors in the first year. Being involved in the double glazing business meant that most of our trophies were sponsored by his suppliers. 

Being a fireman Brian could play in just about any course in Hampshire for a pittance. He got very good and often demonstrated how good he was by winning loads of trophies.
His handicap just kept on getting cut. I still the umbrella he discarded after very wet outing to Dibden Purlieu.
